I don’t know how I get caught up in these romances. An innocent dance, an innocent date, sometimes even an innocent hello. When you know yourself well enough you know from the beginning till end what will and what won’t work for you. Yet somehow you slip between your words and lines and find yourself weeping in the arms of a man who will one-day become a stranger. Another relationship with an expiry date. Or maybe I’m getting ahead of myself by getting caught up in all the possibilities that may never happen. But then I also know well enough the chances of hoping this to work against reality is deluding. So here I am, once again, in the arms of a temporary man, hoping for a permanent love. Foolish is the word.
Maybe it is the sense of belonging that we seek, to be prioritised, to be part of something other then ourselves. Yes we see all the possibilities and the outcomes yet somehow we subconsciously ignore them, hopeing that this time would be different.
In the end we find ourselves collecting our pieces trying to put ourselves back together. By the time we are done putting ourselves together we realise that we are not same as before. it’s either the missing pieces or the extra piece that makes the difference.
You know taken out of context i must seem so strange but i do want to tell you this. I will watch horror movies with you and i will sing you to sleep, and most of all i will wake you up with a cup of coffee, anything else you want in life?
